Suspect Shot Dead by Police in Norwood Incident

A suspect has been shot by police in a daytime incident in Norwood. The shooting was reported at Bainbridge Avenue and East 211th Street, a busy intersection in Norwood at around 3 p.m., according to police. One person was shot by police, though it’s unclear what were the circumstances that led to the shooting. Officers from the local 52nd Precinct, which responded to the shooting, did not respond to calls for comments. Sources told WABC that officers had attempted to serve a warrant to the suspect. Crime File: Push-In Robbers Wanted in Bedford Park

Push-In Robbery Two armed men are wanted for forcing their way into an apartment in Bedford Park, tying up the victims, and burning one of them with an iron. Police said this happened at 1 p.m. inside 400 E. Mosholu Pkwy. S. on Oct. 13. The victims, a 33-year-old woman and 45-year-old man, were tied with shoe laces, and pressed for money, which they did not give up. The men then took off, taking the victims’ cell phones with them.
