The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached photograph and video in connection to a shooting that occurred within the confines of the 50th precinct. On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at approximately 4:30 a.m., inside of a residential lobby within the vicinity of Sedgwick Avenue and West 197th Street, two unidentified individuals were involved in an altercation. State Sen. Alessandra Biaggi and Assemblymember Ron Kim have introduced a new State bill that would repeal an amendment in the state budget that gives blanket corporate immunity to nursing home owners, shareholders, and trustees during the COVID-19 pandemic. On Thursday, Jun. 11, 2020 at approximately 2:58 a.m., police responded to a 911 wellness check call at 379 East 169th Street within the confines of the 44th precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 40-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with multiple stab wounds throughout the body. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing. Two people have died as a result of an early morning crash on the Northbound Bronx River Parkway at East Gun Hill Road in Norwood. The incident was reported at 1:38 a.m. on Thursday, Jun. 11, when police were informed that a car was on fire at the location. Soon afterwards officers from the 47th precinct and the NYPD’s Highway Patrol quickly shutdown the roadway and attempted to remove one victim from the burning vehicle.
