New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio signed into law a package of bills on Monday, Sept. 28, that will expand protections for workers, consumers, and commercial tenants. Botanical Garden: Enid A. Haupt Conservatory Palm Dome Completed

On Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. attended the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated Enid A. Allerton: Fernandez Responds to Concerns over Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Location

Blood Drives Dropped by Two-Thirds Due to Pandemic

New York Blood Center is calling on the community to make appointments to visit donor centers as COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the process of donating blood. Before COVID-19, mobile blood drives hosted by high schools, colleges, businesses and other organizations made up about 75 percent of the region’s incoming blood supply, but the number of blood drives has dropped by two-thirds this year due to the pandemic.   The upcoming school year presents new and unprecedented challenges. Kenny Agosto Announces Run for 15th City Council District, Holds Rally Sunday, Sept. 27

  Kenny Agosto, district director to New York State Senator Jamaal T. Bailey, announced that he is running for the 15th city council district seat in the Bronx. The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Shani Antoine, 15 within the confines of the 44th Precinct. Census Deadline Extended to October 31, Norwood Can Do Better
