NYC Sheriff Shuts Down Bronx Super Spreader “Fight Club” event in Hunts Point

Members of the New York City Sheriff’s Department shut down an illegal “fight club” type event last week in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx, where a crowd of over 200 had jammed into a private warehouse. Bedford Park: Kitchen Fire in 6-Story Dwelling, No Injuries

  The FDNY responded to a call received on Sunday evening, Nov. 22 at 9.59 p.m. regarding a fire which broke out at 2928 Jerome Avenue in the Bedford Park section of the Bronx.   All hands i.e. 12 units comprising 60 firefighters responded to the incident. According to one resident, these included Ladder 3, Ladder 19 and Ladder 57. Body of Man Recovered from Murky Section of East River in University Heights

  A pair of NYPD divers recovered the body of a man who was discovered floating in a murky section of the East River in University Heights on Monday, Nov. 23. The sad discovery was made at 11:20 a.m. According to NYPD spokesman Sergeant Edward Riley, “Police responded to a 911 call for a human body floating in the water” of the East River at 320 West Fordham Road at Exterior Street, a few hundred yards north of the University Heights Bridge. Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine announced on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 the opening of a new COVID-19 vaccine unit which will enroll people in clinical trials that will test the efficacy of vaccines against the novel coronavirus.
