NYPD School Crossing Guard Arrested for Aggravated Harassment, Disobeying Court Order

On Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 12.15 in the afternoon, Rolando Rivera, 45, an off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 46th precinct, which covers the Fordham, University Heights, Morris Heights and Mount Hope neighborhoods in the Bronx.   According to the police report detailing the arrest, Rivera is an NYPD school crossing guard. Pelham Parkway: 78-Year-Old Man Robbed at Knifepoint

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual seen in the attached video who is sought in connection with a robbery that occurred in the 49th precinct.   On Monday, May 3, 2021 at approximately 5.15 p.m., the individual approached a 78-year-old male victim from behind as he entered his vestibule in the vicinity of Brady Avenue and Holland Avenue in the Pelham Parkway section of The Bronx. Pelham Parkway: 23-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot

Police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at 2143 Cruger Avenue in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx in the 49th precinct, on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at approximately 3.07 p.m.   Upon arrival, police observed a 23-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his chest, unconscious and unresponsive. EMS also responded and transported the man to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.   Fordham University plans to provide financial assistance to ‘neighbors’ of the university’s Rose Hill campus, located in Fordham Manor, beginning this fall.
