Friends of Hutchinson River Greenway Hold Clean-Up Event

Local biking enthusiast and Bronxite, Kevin Daloia, recently re-formed the environmental group, Friends of the Hutchinson River Greenway. The volunteer group held its first clean-up of the greenway, located in the East Bronx, on Sunday, May 2, having postponed it by a week due to rain.   Below is a selection of photographs from the clean-up. Update: 83-Year-Old Man Dies at Co-op City Care Center, 87-Year-Old Man Arrested

  Police have arrested an 87-year-old man following an incident at a care center in Co-op City during which an 83-year-old man died.   On Friday, May 21, at approximately 7.16 p.m., police responded to a call regarding an aided person inside one of the rooms at Pinnacle Multi-Care Center, located at 801 Co-op City Boulevard in Co-op City, in the 45th precinct.   Upon arrival, officers observed an 83-year-old man lying on the floor, inside the location.
