UPDATE Baychester: 10 Hospitalized following Motor Vehicle Collision

Officials from The Fire Department of New York said 10 people were transported to hospital following a motor vehicle collision on Monday afternoon in Baychester, south of Co-op City, and one further person was also injured but not hospitalized.   The incident was reported at 3.18 p.m. at Einstein Loop North and Hutchinson River Parkway East on Monday, May 15, and involved four separate vehicles.   An NYPD spokeswoman said an 80-year-old man was driving a jeep traveling northbound on Hutchinson River Parkway when he collided at the intersection with a yellow school bus, driven by a 72-year-old woman.

UPDATE Williamsbridge: Four Burned in Construction Site Work-Place Incident

Four people were injured following a burn-related incident at 739 East Gun Hill Road, the site of a new building under construction, on Monday morning, May 15, FDNY officials said.   All hands were asked to respond to the location at 8.38 a.m. on Monday. UPDATE Olinville: Mothers Day Residential Fire Under Control

All hands were called on Sunday afternoon, May 14, to respond to a fire on the third floor of a multiple dwelling located at 3003 Olinville Avenue in the Olinville section of the borough, just north of Parkside Housing Project.   An FDNY spokesperson told Norwood News that the department received the call at 2.34 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. “Members were able to determine that the fire was located in the multiple dwelling [at 3003 Olinville Avenue],” the spokesperson said. Wakefield: Mothers Day Residential Fire Under Control

UPDATE Police Officer Arrested on DWI Charge in 50th Precinct

An off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 50th Precinct on Saturday, police said.   An NYPD spokesperson said that on Saturday, May 13, Eriverto Carino, 24, an off-duty NYPD Officer was arrested within the boundaries of the 50th Precinct, which falls under the command of Captain Filastine Srour and covers the neighborhoods of Kingsbridge, Marble Hill, Riverdale, Fieldston, and Spuyten Duyvil, as well as Van Cortlandt Park.   Carino was charged with driving while intoxicated or impaired.   Police said the officer was assigned to the recruit training section of the department.   A person
