The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the people seen in the attached photo who they say are wanted in connection to an attempted robbery that occurred in Bedford Park.
Police said that on Sunday, Aug. 3, at around 3.58 p.m., two unknown males on a black moped approached a 34-year-old male victim in the vicinity of Jerome Avenue and East 198th Street.
“The first individual simulated a firearm and attempted to forcibly remove the victim’s necklace but was unsuccessful,” a police spokesperson said. “The unidentified individuals then fled on the moped traveling northbound on Jerome Avenue to parts unknown. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.”
Police said the first suspect is described as male, was last seen wearing a black ski mask, a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers and the second suspect is also described as male, was last seen wearing a black ski mask, a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.
