Building applications have been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new 6-story, residential building at 2968 Valentine Avenue in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.

Located between Bedford Park Boulevard and East 201st Street, the lot is one block from the Bedford Park Boulevard subway station, served by the B and D trains. Franc Gjini of Paramount Homes Management is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 69-foot-tall development will yield 15,953 square feet designated for residential space. The building will yield 31 residential units, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 514 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 20-foot-long rear yard.

Jakov Saric of Node Architecture, Engineering, Consulting is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed earlier this month with DOB for the existing two-story residential building on the site. An estimated completion date for the new structure has not yet been announced.
