Shake, rob, and roll. A suspect (photo left) is wanted robbing a teen of his wallet, cell phone and forcing him to buy a shake at a store in Bedford Park on Oct. 10. The suspect, caught on video, approached the 19-year-old victim claiming to carry a knife as he put his hand in his pocket. Neighborhood Notes: Free Immigration Service

The NYPD will host a gun buyback program on Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following drop-site locations: Mitchell Community Center, 210 Alexander Ave., and Holy Spirit Church, 1940 University Ave. Anyone turning in a handgun or assault rifle in working condition will receive a $200 pre-paid gift card, and a $25 pre-paid gift card in exchange for rifles, shotguns, and airguns. No questions will be asked.

North Central Bronx Hospital (NCBH) will “absolutely” stay open for the foreseeable future, NYC Health + Hospitals President and CEO Dr. Mitchell Katz said during a “Newsmakers Q&A” roundtable discussion at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism on Sept 27. Katz said he planned on expanding services at the Norwood hospital. “If it’s going to be closed, it should be closed.
