A man was killed following a police stop by officers from the 52nd Precinct in a daytime shooting that stunned residents in the relatively quiet neighborhood, who haven’t seen an incident like this unfold in years. Suspect Shot Dead by Police in Norwood Incident

A suspect has been shot by police in a daytime incident in Norwood. The shooting was reported at Bainbridge Avenue and East 211th Street, a busy intersection in Norwood at around 3 p.m., according to police. One person was shot by police, though it’s unclear what were the circumstances that led to the shooting. Fernandez Proposes Mental Health Days

Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez, who represents Norwood, is proposing students take look after their mental health more by introducing a bill that would allocate mental and behavior days for students during the school year.  “Given, well, the current conversation and rightful awareness to the issue of students need that extra help. Crime File: Push-In Robbers Wanted in Bedford Park

Push-In Robbery Two armed men are wanted for forcing their way into an apartment in Bedford Park, tying up the victims, and burning one of them with an iron. Police said this happened at 1 p.m. inside 400 E. Mosholu Pkwy. S. on Oct. 13. The victims, a 33-year-old woman and 45-year-old man, were tied with shoe laces, and pressed for money, which they did not give up. The men then took off, taking the victims’ cell phones with them.
