No one is better placed to clean up Albany’s cesspool of corruption than Senator Klein, who presides over the scandal-ridden State Senate with his “co-leader,” Republican Dean Skelos. It’s an unusual arrangement which has yet to prove its worth, in my opinion, though Mr. Klein would surely disagree. Regardless, he has a huge test before him now, as he must decide whether he will insist that Mr. Skelos allow a vote on a comprehensive campaign finance reform package.

Bronx Photo: Fordham Movie Night

Dozens of people showed up at the Fordham Business Improvement District’s first-ever movie night at Fordham Plaza. On Friday, April 26, local residents took in “The Amazing Spider-Man,” the first of four scheduled showings this spring and summer. The BID’s sanitation crew is now cleaning up the Fordham Plaza area and the events are part of an effort to make the area a gathering spot. The next showing is “Despicable Me” on Friday, June 28, at 8:30 p.m.
