During Frigid Overnight, Elderly Woman Dies in Bedford Park Blaze

A fire in Bedford Park has claimed the life of a 78-year-old woman in one of the coldest weeks this winter season. EMS and fire crews rushed to 2874 Grand Concourse to battle the blaze that began in her kitchen just before 3:30am in frigid temperatures, according to police. The victim was pronounced dead on scene with no other reported injuries, said police. Arrest Made for Body Found Dead Inside Car in Norwood

 by David Cruz Authorities in New Jersey have charged a man linked to the death of a Fort Lee man found dead in the back of a car in Norwood last month. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office says that Andre Jamal Thompson, known by associates as “Boogie,” was charged with felony murder for the homicide of Jordan Johnson. The victim was found in a black BMW on 211th Street and Tryon Avenue just off the Major Deegan Expressway and overlooking the Woodlawn Cemetery on Jan. 15.
