The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the man seen in the attached photo who they say is wanted for questioning in connection with a sexually motivated burglary that occurred in the Wakefield section of The Bronx.
Police said that on Monday, May 25, at around 5.11 a.m. an 8-year-old female victim was sleeping at her home in the vicinity of De Reimer Avenue and Bussing Avenue when an unidentified person broke in through her bedroom window. “The victim awoke to the person exposing himself and performing a lewd act before fleeing the [.] location on foot, traveling eastbound on Bussing Avenue to parts unknown,” a police spokesperson said. There were no physical injuries reported following the incident.
Police said the suspect is described as male, has a medium complexion, and was last seen wearing a black sweater with a white logo, black pants, a gray skullcap, and black sneakers.
On June 9, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Tishawn Maile, 35. Maile is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
