Police said on Friday, April 24, at approximately 12.04 p.m. an on-duty New York City employee was arrested in the confines of the 44th Precinct in The Bronx, which covers some or all of the Bronx areas encompassing the Grand Concourse, Bronx Terminal Market, and Yankee Stadium.
They said Raheem Logue, a 44-year-old male and NYC Department of Education (DOE) employee, was charged with two counts of sexual abuse and forcible touching. He is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
Norwood News reached out to the DOE and asked if they could confirm where the employee worked and in what capacity. We received the following statement from a DOE spokesperson, “These allegations are serious and deeply disturbing. The individual has been suspended without pay, and if the claims are confirmed, we will pursue termination. We are also putting appropriate supports in place for the school community.”
