Kingsbridge: Man Sought for Robbing Woman

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photos who they say is wanted in connection with a theft that occurred in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx. 

Police said that on Monday, April 13, at around 4.25 a.m. the victim, a 68-year-old woman, was standing at the bus stop at the corner of West 231st Street and Broadway, when an unidentified male approached her and grabbed her purse from her hand.

“The male individual then fled on foot northbound towards Kingsbridge Avenue to parts unknown,” an NYPD spokesperson said. “The victim’s purse contained a credit card and approximately $20. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.”

 

Police said the suspect is described as male, has a dark complexion, is estimated to be in his 40s, has a medium build, is partially bald and was last seen wearing a long, black-sleeve shirt, a dark vest overlay with a hood, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
