Three people have been arrested after a 26-year-old man died in the Allerton section of The Bronx in a fatal shooting, police said.
As reported, a police spokesperson said that on Friday, Feb. 13, at around 00.20 a.m. officers from the 49th Precinct were informed by a 26-year-old man that he had been shot in the chest in front of 660 Thwaites Place.
“The victim was transported by department vehicle to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced deceased,” the spokesperson said. “There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.”

Police identified the victim on Friday, Feb. 13, as Amir Ahmad, Amir from the Pelham Bay section of The Bronx.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, police said Monday, Feb. 23, that three people were arrested the same day at around 8.10 p.m. in the confines of the 49th Precinct, which covers the Bronx neighborhoods of Allerton, Morris Park, Van Nest, Pelham Parkway, Eastchester Gardens, and Pelham Gardens.

They said Wanderlin Mateo, 18, of Belmont, The Bronx was charged with murder, manslaughter, robbery, and criminal possession of a weapon (a loaded firearm)
They said Darlin Sanchez, 18, of Pelham Parkway, The Bronx was charged with murder, manslaughter, robbery, and criminal possession of a weapon (a loaded firearm).
They said Angelic Encarnacion, a 23-year-old woman, of Allerton, The Bronx was charged with murder, manslaughter, robbery, and criminal possession of a weapon (a loaded firearm).
All three people arrested are presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
