The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who is wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred in the Norwood section of The Bronx.
Police said that on Saturday, Jan. 17, at around 10:40 a.m., an unidentified individual entered the Family Dollar store located at 2863 Webster Avenue and an employee observed the person placing around $31 worth of merchandise into his pockets.
They said that as the suspect attempted to exit the store, a 40-year-old male victim intervened. Police said following a dispute, the suspect bit the victim’s hand before fleeing to parts unknown, the victim sustained redness and swelling to his hand but did not require hospitalization.
They said the suspect is described as male, has a light complexion, a medium build, and is around 30 to 40 years old. They said he was last seen wearing glasses, a maroon jacket over a black, hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black shoes.
