Police said they have arrested a third person, a teenager, following the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx earlier this month, and after two other men were previously arrested on separate dates in October.
Police said there were no initial arrests, and the investigation remained ongoing. The deceased was identified as Fareed Adeyi of Williamsbridge, The Bronx.
On Oct. 20, police said that pursuant to an ongoing investigation, Norman Moore, 64, of Olinville, The Bronx, was arrested on Friday, Oct. 17, at 4.50 p.m. in the confines of the 47th Precinct, which covers the Bronx neighborhoods of Woodlawn, Wakefield, Williamsbridge, Baychester, Edenwald, Olinville, Fishbay, as well as Woodlawn Cemetery. They said he was charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Pursuant to the ongoing investigation, police said on Oct. 22, that Devonte Moore, 24, of the same Olinville address as Norman Moore, was arrested the same day at 8 p.m. also in the confines of the 47th Precinct. They said he was also charged with murder, manslaughter, criminal possession of a weapon.
On Wednesday, Oct. 29, police said pursuant to the ongoing investigation, an unnamed 16-year-old male youth was also arrested the same day at 3.50 p.m. in the confines of the 47th Precinct, which broadly covers the Bronx neighborhoods of Woodlawn, Wakefield, Williamsbridge, Baychester, Edenwald, Olinville, Fishbay, as well as Woodlawn Cemetery.
The teenager has been charged with murder, manslaughter, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. All three defendants are deemed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
