Norwood: Suspect Wanted for Gunpoint Robbery of $13K

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video who they say is wanted in connection with a gunpoint robbery that occurred in Norwood.

 

Police said that on Wednesday, July 30, at around 8.55 p.m., a 21-year-old male victim agreed to meet a person unknown to him to buy sneakers in front of 3150 Rochambeau Avenue.

 

They said the “seller” entered the victim’s vehicle, displayed a gun and made a verbal threat. “The individual then removed the victim’s wallet, keys, a bag and $13,000,” police said. They said the “seller” then got out of the victim’s car, entered a White Dodge Durango that was parked on East 206th Street, and fled westbound to parts unknown.

 

Police said there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident. They said the suspect is described as male, has a light complexion and was last seen wearing a black sweater, black shorts, and black sneakers.
