Fordham Manor: Man Sought for Armed Robbery & Assault

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photos who they say is sought in connection with an armed robbery and assault that occurred in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx.

 

Police said that on Sunday, Sept. 14, at around 9.40 a.m. inside 2441 Jerome Avenue, an unidentified person entered a store and demanded store merchandise.

They said the suspect then attempted to steal the merchandise and began to flee the location. They said a 24-year-old man then approached the suspect and demanded it be returned. A police spokesperson said, “The individual then brandished a black firearm and punched the victim about the body and face.”

 

Police said the suspect then fled on foot westbound on Jerome Avenue toward Fordham Road and the victim sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene.

 

They said the suspect is described as male, has a medium complexion, a slim build, is around 55 to 60 years of age, and has grey and black facial hair. They said he was last seen wearing a grey, hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and black sneakers.
