The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video who they say is wanted in connection with a rape at knifepoint that occurred in a hotel in the Baychester section of The Bronx.
Police said that on Friday, Aug. 29, at around 9 a.m. inside a hotel inside 1440 East 222nd Street, an unidentified man entered a hotel room with a 25-year-old female victim. They said he displayed a knife and made several demands to the victim to cooperate before removing $400 from her wallet.
“The unidentified individual then instructed the victim to remove her clothes and proceeded to forcibly rape her,” police said. “The person fled the location on foot, traveling southbound on East 222 Street to parts unknown.” They said the victim was removed by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.
