The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos who they say is wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx.
Police that on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at around 4.37 p.m. in front of 201 East Fordham Road, an unidentified person approached a 76-year-old male victim from behind and struck him in the leg with an unknown object. They said the suspect then forcibly removed the victim’s wallet from his back pants pocket and fled on foot to parts unknown.
Police said EMS responded and transported the victim to BronxCare Hospital Center in Claremont in stable condition. Following the incident, police said the suspect made unauthorized transactions with the victim’s credit card.
They said the suspect is described as male, has a dark complexion, is around 18 to 25 years of age, has a thin build and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers, and carrying a gray backpack.
