Morris Heights: Armed Suspect Sought for Robbery

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who they say is wanted in connection to a robbery that occurred in Morris Heights.

 

Police said that on Wednesday, June 11, at around 3.35 p.m., a 25-year-old woman was at East Tremont Avenue and Jerome Avenue when an unidentified person approached from behind and snatched a necklace from her neck. “When the victim attempted to retrieve her necklace, valued at approximately $1,200, the person displayed a gun and fled the location on foot, traveling westbound on East Tremont Avenue,” a police spokesperson said, adding that no injuries were reported.

 

The suspect is described as male, has a light complexion, is in his forties, and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, dark-colored pants, and black sneakers.
