NYPD DETECTIVES ARE seeking the public’s help identifying and locating the persons seen in this video who they say are sought in connection to a homicide that occurred on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in the vicinity of 4032 Ely Avenue in the Edenwald section of The Bronx. Video courtesy of the NYPD
After a 29-year-old man was murdered during a fatal shooting in the Edenwald section of The Bronx in May 2024, NYPD detectives have shared images of three suspects sought in connection to the incident and are appealing to the public for help identifying and locating the three.
As reported, police said that on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at around 10.50 p.m., officers from the 47th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding two males who were shot in the vicinity of 4032 Ely Avenue.
“Upon arrival, officers observed a 29-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head and a 40-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the left leg,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded and transported both males to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi. The 29-year-old male was later pronounced deceased. The 40-year-old male is in stable condition at this time.”

Police said there were no arrests and the investigation remained ongoing. The deceased was later identified as Joseph Johnson of Needham Avenue in Williamsbridge, The Bronx.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, detectives have since shared the attached video and images of the three suspects. They said the first is described as male, has a medium build and medium complexion, and was last seen wearing a navy-blue baseball hat, a navy blue and yellow hooded sweatshirt, navy blue and yellow sweatpants, and blue sneakers.

They said the second suspect is also described as male, has a medium build and medium complexion, and was last seen wearing a green Nike sweatshirt, black jeans, and black sneakers.
They said the third suspect is also described as male, has a slim build and medium complexion, and was last seen wearing a navy-blue hooded sweatshirt, navy blue sweatpants, and black and white sneakers.
