Fordham Manor: Man Sought for Assault & Robbery of Older Adult outside Bronx Library Center

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the man seen in the attached photos and video who they say is wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred in Fordham Manor.

 

Police said that on Thursday, April 24, at around noon, an unidentified person approached a 70-year-old male victim in front of 310 East Kingsbridge Road, the address for Bronx Library Center, between East Fordham Road and East 192nd Street, and struck the victim over the head with a chair, causing a laceration to the forehead.

They said the assailant stole the victim’s pocket knife and then fled the location on foot, traveling southbound on East Kingsbridge Road to parts unknown. They said the victim went to New York-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center by private means.

 

The suspect is described as male, has a dark complexion and glasses, was last seen wearing a red, hooded sweatshirt, red sweatpants, a black baseball cap, and multicolored sneakers.
