Crime File: Stabbing Near Oval, Serial Bronx Robber Wanted

Man Stabbed Near Oval  A man has been arrested for stabbing someone near Oval Park, just after an outdoor movie screening that attracted plenty of families. Police say the victim was stabbed in front of 3106 Bainbridge Ave. around 9 p.m. on Aug. 30 after a gang-related argument. Witnesses could later hear a helicopter hovering around the neighborhood as cops from the 52nd Precinct tracked the stabber. The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and was listed in critical condition. Meantime, police say they’ve arrested one person and five others in connection to the incident. Man Wanted For Credit Card Theft Inside Montefiore Clinic

Police need help finding a person caught on video stealing a woman’s credit cards from her wallet and using them to buy cigarettes nearby. The incident happened Aug. 14 just before 10 a.m. inside Montefiore Health System’s Greene Medical Arts Pavilion – Henkind Institute at 3400 Bainbridge Ave. Video surveillance showed the suspected thief allegedly using the victim’s credit card at Tita’s Mini Market at 137 E. Gun Hill Rd., just several blocks away, to buy the cigarettes. The suspect eventually fled and hasn’t been seen since. The suspected thief is described as a black man, around 30 to 35 years

Crime File: Ponytailed Suspect Sought

Ponytailed Suspect Sought  Police need the public’s help in tracking a ponytailed suspect wanted for robbing a 15-year-old of his gold chain at gunpoint. The victim was a standing in front of Easy Pickens at 15 E. Fordham Rd. on the morning of July 20 when he was robbed, according to police. The suspect quickly fled with the gold chain, though the victim was not hurt. Police describe the thief as a Hispanic man around 20 to 25 years old, medium complexion with a red bun ponytail. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Suspects Sought on Number 4 Subway Train Robbery

A trio of thieves are on the run from police for choking a subway rider and stealing his phone, wallet, rings, and a watch. Police say the incident happened June 26 just before 5 a.m. on board an uptown 4 subway train entering the East 183rd Street station. One of the men choked the 21-year-old victim while the other two took his things. The first suspect is described as a heavyset man around 18 to 22 years old. Activists Fume at Excessive July 4th Partying on Mosholu Parkway

Activists are demanding answers over how the local 52nd Precinct could allow illegal barbecues to go on for hours along Mosholu Parkway over the July 4th weekend, despite the presence of “No Barbecuing” signs throughout parkway. They’ve now reached out to local elected officials and are in the stages of planning a meeting to get answers. Many residents vented frustration on Facebook, posting photos of other residents setting up tents, lounge chairs and speakers across the leafy mall. Crime File: Woman Attacked, Man Beaten with Scooter

Police are trying to find a man wanted for fighting a man that subsequently led to the man’s elderly being seriously injured. Police say the 73-year-old victim fell to the ground and broke her leg during fight between the unidentified man and the victim’s 36-year-old son, which happened on July 1 at around 8 p.m. at East 194th Street and Marion Avenue in Bedford Park. The man soon fled while the woman was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital. The man is described as a heavy set Hispanic man last seen wearing a dark hat, white T-shit, red shorts and sneakers.
